HOW TO ENTER
You can take part in the Yorkshire Portrait Awards by clicking on the relevant awards category below. Which will then give you more information and access to our online booking system. Where you can book a suitable date and time for you.
To enter the Yorkshire Portrait Awards you will be asked to donate £10 all of which will go to the chosen charities. By donating to these very worthwhile causes you will be entitled to a complimentary studio portrait session, the receive a private viewing session to select your photograph to enter the awards.
By entering the Yorkshire Portrait Awards you will have a chance to win the main grand prize in each category entered of £1000 donated by Ray and Julie Photography.
THE AWARDS
Could your photograph win our annual awards? All photographs that are submitted throughout the year will be judged by a totally independent professional judge and the winner of each category will receive £1000.

The Yorkshire Portrait Awards is run by Ray and Julie Photography, helping raise money for their chosen charities. With professional portrait photography from their East Yorkshire studios covering Beverley, Hull and around surrounding areas. Covering three photography categories family, children, and pets.

As MPA President it was my great privilege to act as head judge for the Master Photographers Association Northern Region Annual Awards. The standard was probably the highest I have ever seen in a regional competition and indeed, in my opinion was at a standard usually only judged at the national level. Two of the shining stars of the evening were Ray and Julie Dixon. They won 12 awards in total across several different categories with 4 highly commended awards and an outright winner in the Under 5s Portrait and Landscape categories. To win this number of awards in different categories shows a depth of ability and talent for photography which is rarely seen anywhere in the UK. Their work is exceptional! Well done to both Ray and Julie!
