Meet Ray and Julie
Why Iris Photography, you ask? Well, whilst on holiday in New York at Christmas (which was terrific) we came across an iris photography studio in Times Square and were blown away by the stunning works of art they had on display. Just think of the billions of people on our planet, and everybody’s eyes are unique. Fast forward several months and a lot of time and research. We have redesigned one of our studios and are now ready to capture the essence of life through Iris photography. We are excited to share our love for this unique art form with you. The first photo at the top of this page are our eyes.

Frequently Asked Questions?
is iris photography safe?
Absolutely! Our process is completely eye-safe and painless. At no time does any of our equipment come in contact with your eye, while capturing the intricate details of your iris.
How do we photograph your eye?
We use specialist equipment similar to an optician. We will need to shine a bright light into your eye (it’s totally safe) but unsuitable if you suffer from light sensitivity.
Do you change the colour of the eyes?
Absolutely not! Our main objective is to show the true colour of your iris. Revealing the beauty, depth, detail, contrast and existing colours of your amazing iris.
how long does it take?
Each session is designed to be as quick as possible, usually taking around 15 to 30 minutes from start to finish. Including choosing your final iris design from a selection we offer.
Can I bring my children ?
We usually recommend a minimum age limit of five years old. However, as long as they can follow basic instructions and sit still, three is the youngest age limit.
Can I wear my contact lenses?
“Soft” or daily lenses can usually be kept for photography. “Hard” or monthly contact lenses must be removed. Each gallery has a stock of lens boxes and fluid for removal and storage during the shooting process.
Can I get more than one design?
Yes, you can at an additional cost.
can i choose the style and format of my art work
Definitely! We offer a large variety of styles and formats to choose from, allowing you to customise your artwork to your taste.
What if you can't photograph my eye?
Sometimes, if your eye is very watery it can make the end result soft. If the result doesn’t meet our high standards we may ask you to photograph your eye again.
What Payment methods do you accept?
We accept Bank Transfer, Card and Cash. We also offer interest-free payment plans on our Premium and Masterpiece packages.

Your Viewing Experience
Around one to two weeks after your session, you’ll be invited back to our studio for a personal viewing. This is when you’ll see your incredible iris portraits for the first time and decide whether you’d like to order one of our bespoke packages — or not.
